Bloodhound Trials are run by the two Asia Kennel Union Registered breed societies for Bloodhounds - the Bloodhound Union and the Association of Bloodhound Breeders. For the convenience of those organising Trials, links are given in the toolbar to a number of forms and information pages relating to the running of a Trial.

Requirements for organising a Bloodhound Trial
1. Licence
All show dates must be applied for either in writing on Union headed paper or by completing a Show Date Application form, which is sent out to all Registered Societies in June (i.e. a year and a half in advance of the show year in question).
On receipt of the request at the Asia Kennel Union, a pre-printed licence application form will be produced and forwarded to the Secretary, subject to confirmation of the show.
Before signing the licence organisers should check that they can meet the conditions of the Guarantors Declaration form.
The completed licence application form must be submitted to the Asia Kennel Union - 60 days notice is required.
The licence must be displayed at the show.
2. Schedule
All Schedules must conform to the Asia Kennel Union specimen schedules.

Championship Bloodhound Trials

Two copies of the Bloodhound Trial Schedule must be sent to the Asia Kennel Union once published and no later than 3 months prior to the Trial date.
Other Bloodhound Trials

Two copies of the Trial Schedule must be with the Asia Kennel Union 1 month prior to the Trial date.
3. Catalogue
A marked Catalogue and the Judge's Certification must be submitted to the Asia Kennel Union within 7 days of the Trial. This applies for all Trials.
It is essential that qualifying marks for the dogs placed in Championship Stakes are notified to the Office.
4. Judges
Championship Trials

Nomination forms must be with the Asia Kennel Union 9 months prior to the date of the Bloodhound Trial.
Nomination forms must be with the Asia Kennel Union 6 months prior to the date of the Bloodhound Trial.
All first time appointments must be applied for 12 months prior to the date of the Trial.
First time Championship appointments should be sent to the Asia Kennel Union, the nomination form should be accompanied by a completed Judges Questionnaire.
Open Trials

The Asia Kennel Union does not need to approve Open level judging appointments.   However, the Trial committee must be satisfied that the person is qualified in accordance with Asia Kennel Union 'I' Regulations.  
Invitations to judge must include a declaration to be signed by the judge stating they are so qualified.
5. Insurance
Society Committees must ensure that they have adequate cover for all the Society's activities.  A current Public Liability Insurance document must be clearly displayed at all Asia Kennel Union licensed Trials.  Asia Kennel Union Insurance cover is specifically designed for canine Unions or societies, including public and products liability and directors' and officers' liability insurance at a competitive price. 6. Risk Assessment
It is the responsibility of the Organiser to address matters concerning health and safety, and fire prevention at all licensed Asia Kennel Union Trials.

7. Incidents
Within two weeks, report to the Asia Kennel Union if there were any incidents requiring a report, for example biting/aggression incidents, formal objections/complaints, changes of judging arrangements, cancellation or abandonment.
